Goodbye, Grandma.
My grandma died today. It is okay. It's right; good, in fact. It was her time; probably well past her time. She was hurting, and I think, probably ready. My last grandparent died today. And it's sad. The close of a chapter in my life, a changing of the guard, a generational stopping point, a meaningful shift. But it's mainly, just, bittersweet. My grandma lived a good life. At 89, she lived a long life. It was a full life, and I believe she would say that it was a happy one.
