Adventures in Nature: Kopachuck State Park.
Park number NINE in our quest to visit all SIXTEEN Washington State Parks in our three-county region this spring! (That is: King, Pierce and Thurston counties in Western Washington) On March 30th, my eight-year-old son Malachi and I packed up and headed across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge to Kopachuck State Park in Gig Harbor, Washington (Pierce County). We enjoyed this park. It was beautiful! (Everything on the peninsula is beautiful.) And we had ourselves a nice, little hike.
